I was born in Wisconsin and, after a short move to Texas, I grew up on a family farm in northern Michigan. I received my Bachelor of Science in Economics and Political Science from Central Michigan University. I then proceeded to Wayne State University where I obtained my Juris Doctor degree and a Master of Arts in International Economics.
After law and graduate school, I worked for three courts and then a mid-sized law firm. After spending six years with that law firm, I decided to provide more personal and cost-effective legal services to my clients. Therefore, I proceeded with my current practice.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my wife, son, and two daughters. I am also professor at Southwestern Michigan College where I teach courses economics and legal courses.
